Enhancing Tribal Relationships Panel

Estimated Completion Time:  1Hr 30Min

California CASA and the Judicial Council of California hosted a virtual panel discussion where we addressed the importance and significance of the relationship between CASA staff and advocates and the Native American community. You will get a chance to hear personal experiences that can provide valuable insights into what has worked well and what could be improved upon. We help highlight some of the most important characteristics for CASAs working with Native American children and families that can help guide their approach and interactions. There is also discussion around relevant policies and procedures, particularly those governed by ICWA and how we can equip CASAs with the necessary knowledge and tools to navigate such cases effectively. Watch the recorded panel for a chance to explore how we can develop better relationships with the child, family, and tribe.
